At school we are doing projects on the greatest cities of the world. I've decided to write about Ryazan. Could you tell me about your city? What is special about your city? What is your favourite place in Ryazan?
As for the family news, my sister got married last week.

Write a letter to Sam. In your letter1) tell him about Ryazan 2) ask 3 questions about his school

Dear Sam,

Thank you for the letter. I'm sorry I haven't written for so long but now I'm not so busy.
In your letter you ask me about Ryazan. Well, Ryazan is situated not far from Moscow (our capital). It was founded in 1095. You see how old it is! Also, it's my native city. There are a lot of places of interest in Ryazan: the Ryazan Kremlin (it's the heart of the city - the most special place! It's a complex of ancient cathedrals, churches and museums), Victory Square, the Drama theatre...It's hard to choose the only place. Still, I think that my favourite place is Teatralnaya Square with its Drama theatre, a fountain and a lot of shops nearby. I live not far from this place.
By the way, could you tell me about about your school and school life? Do you have any clubs at school? Are you given much homework?
Please, write back soon.
Yours,
Tanya

Dear Sam,

Thanks for you letter, it was great to hear from you. I am glad to answer you questions about my city.
So my city is rather small and it is situated not far from Moscow (just 200km). There are a lot of special places in Ryazan, for example our Kremlin, circus and different beautiful parks, where you can meet a lot of children playing with their parents. My favourite place in Ryazan is Victory Square, because there we have some monuments, fountains and also lunapark.
By the way, do you like your school? Is it far from your house? What time do you start your lessons?

Write back soon.

Best wishes,
Alya.

Dear Sam,
Thank you for your letter.I'm so sorry I haven;t written for so long but now I'm not so busy.
In your last letter you asked me about Ryazan. As for me, it's a very calm & suitable city for me.It's also rather beautiful. As far as our places of interest are concerned, we have the Ryazan Kremlin, different monuments to Utkin, Tsiolkovsky, Yesenin, the Drama Theatre &the Puppet Theatre & many others. My favourite place in Ryazan is near the Oka river because it has beautiful scenery on its banks. Our city is special for us because it remains to be our best place.
By the way, in what school do you study? Do you have to wear a school uniform?Do you like your teachers?
Please write back soon.
Yours,
Kate

Dear Sam,
Thank you for your letter I'm so sorry that I haven't written for so long but now I'm not so busy.
In your last letter you asked me about Ryazan. As for me, I like my native city very much because there are many beautiful places here. For example, the Ryazan Kremlin, Victory and Teatralnaya Squares and others. Ryazan isn't a big city not far from Moscow. My favorite place in Ryazan is Victory Square because there is a shopping centre there.
By the way, do you like your school? Is it big or smal? What is your favorite subject in school?
Hope to hear from you soon.
Love
Lilya.
